Helpful Information for Parents involved in the Cape Cod Youth Rowing

The Team is a five-year-old team comprised of high school rowers from across Cape Cod. Rowing is a capital intensive sport requiring expensive equipment and a tremendous commitment of time. For a rowing program to be successful, it must be supported by an active group of parents, a generous community of supporters and a supporting boosters club.

In an effort to streamline all of the various tasks and needs of the Rowing Program, a committee has been formed by seasoned parents of rowers from the past few years. The Cape Cod Youth Rowing Parents Committee is open to all parents interested in helping organize the many needs of the team. A sampling of the volunteer opportunities include:

  • Fundraising
  • Coordinating/preparing food for regattas
  • Helping with equipment repairs
  • Communications between parents
  • Communications¬†with coaches
  • Transportation to regattas
  • Help promote and maintain¬†sponsorship program
  • Taking pictures
  • Updating the website
